Homebody super juggler!
You love being at home but you equally love to work and giving both areas of your life equal footing is important to you
You don’t want to miss out on either
You’re after the ultimate work-life balance and for now at least you want to be at home more to develop your personal interests or be more present for your family. You are happy to put work on the back burner for a while but want the option to crank things up again when the time is right as work is still important to you too.
Your big challenge?
Finding the work that you enjoy or are expert in as a part-time, work from home or a fully flexible option could be tricky depending on how senior you are. You may also feel split and that you’re not fully committing to either your career or home life fully.
Carry on reading to learn how to get the best out of your working style…
1. Approach your current employer to see if there is scope to make your role part-time or working from home. Be clear about where you still intend your career to progress and communicate how you intend to continue to add value to the organisation.
2.If you can’t find flexible work, flip reverse it. Approach employers you admire and seek out opportunitites via networking or speculative approaches. You could also apply for full-time posts and negotiate to part-time or flexible working during the hiring process.
3.Think of all the ways. If you just can’t find the ideal role in the right location, think of all the ways you could do what you’re already good and skilled at and find a way that works for you.
